I found the top photo earlier this week and it inspired me to do some painting. (and yearn for the summertime!) I miss painting for fun. Anyways, happy Saturday, y’all!
The man, the character. If you haven’t guessed already that’s Nathan Lane! Hands down one of most fun faces to paint. I had a lot of fun, celebrity portraits are always a blast. Also, it’s been a while since I’ve painted in Photoshop in this way. Hope y’all like it!
Two illustrations for The Reporter Magazine, RIT’s school newspaper. Painted in Photoshop, 8″ x 7″. The top illustration is for an anti-no shave november article, and the bottom for an opposing pro-no shave november article. First time painting beards I think! (about time).
Finally finished, color was the most fun part! Anyways, it was fun to explore something different than what I’ve been doing as of late (mainly trying to get a good marriage of digital and traditional).
There it is! All finished and the animals are all ready to bike on. Had a lot of fun painting those animals, I think mostly because I never draw animals. Anyways happy Wednesday y’all!
Redesigned book cover for John Green’s Looking for Alaska. Painted in Photoshop, second in the series. This is Takumi, the Colonel, Pudge, and Alaska (from the left).
